Porsche, Mighty Buick, Fiat oh my!

It's been a fun filled few weeks with cars. Starting with the 944s. From the last post, I tried using a 1/4" rear hub bearing to replace the missing fuel rail cap ball, that didn't work. It didn't seem to be leaking but we could smell a little gas when driving on the highway looking for Fiat's. I ordered and installed the correct OEM ball and all is better. It did end up being a couple millimeters larger than the 1/4" ball I tried.

With the ball order I also ordered the motor cap for the rear wiper motor, which was missing when I purchased the car. I took the opportunity to remove the rest of the window tinting from the rear window.

This weekend I removed the passenger seat and gave the carpet a shampoo, also removed the old window tint from the drivers and passenger windows and made a small adjustment to the idle. The 944 is looking and running great.

8.99 mm is the size of the ball for the fuel rail cap.

The rear wiper motor without the cover.

A view of the remaining window tint with the rear wiper arm removed.

No more window tint!

It took a little modifying with the dremel but it looks good!

The mess that was under the passenger seat.

Early morning start on the car cleaning. My first washing for the Fiat 500 Abarth. It only took Beth one day to sell the Mighty Buick

After shampooing. Didn't get it all up but the car smells make better.

All ready for Porsche & Pancakes breakfast.
